A Flying Hodgepodge

From this Side of the Pond

1. Tell us about a time you felt like you were 'flying by the seat of your pants'.

A: When I used to work doubles slot I always felt that way since I was tired the next shift but always made it though.

2.  When or where would you most like to be 'a fly on the wall'?

A: In the kitchen since that's were I am normally at or he living room.

3. 'Happiness is like a butterfly: the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder.'-Henry David Thoreau

Would you agree? Why or why not?

A: Yes I agree. It's just one of those qoutes that is just true.

4. Share a favorite movie, book, or song with flying in it's title, lyrics, or theme somewhere.

A: Butterfly Fly Away - Miley Cyrus

5. What is one task or chore you tend to do 'on the fly'? Is this something that really needs to be done another way?

A: The bathroom before we leave on vacation. I need to do on a fly. I normally don't like to do the bathroom but I should clean it more often.

6. What was happening the last time you thought to yourself or said aloud, 'Wow, time flies when you're having fun', and you meant it.

A: We were out and about on a weekend doing some fun things with the kids. We left at 9:00 AM and came and once it got to 5:00 PM I couldn't believe how the time flew by quickly. We were having fun.

7. This Thursday is National Garlic Day. Will you add garlic to your menu on Thursday? Do you like garlic? What's your favorite dish made with garlic?

A: Not sure yet. Unless I make spaghetti and garlic bread again but we just had it the other night.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

A: Less then 2 days left for vacation. I am ready for it. Got my daughter's doctor appt in the morning and a few errands for the day then back home to start packing and cleaning .  If you been to Cincinnati OH what do you recommend on doing ? We already have in mind The zoo and Kingsiland on the list.

The Simple Women's Daybook

For Today Monday April 3,2017

Looking out my window... It's cloudy and looks like it could rain somete soon.

I am thinking... That I need to make a list of things I need to pack for our week vacation.

I am thankful...  For warmer weather and of course spring.

I am wearing...  A flower t-shirt and Jeans.
I am creating... Nothing at the moment. Don't have time to make anything at the moment. Maybe once Emily gets to be a little older I can start making things again.

I am watching...  My son doing the splits and My daughter rolling over on her tummy. Never a full moment I'm this house.

I am reading...

A Princess Next Door. It's good almost done. And can't wait to read book 2 in the series.

I am hoping... That my daughter's teeth will come in soon. She is cutting a few teeth and poor baby is fussy.

I am learning...  Which foods Emily likes to eat and what she doesn't when she eats her solids. Love the cute faces she makes.

In the kitchen... Monday: Burritos

The Friday 56

Welcome to The Friday 56 hosted by Freda’s Voice.
This is a really fun meme! The only rules are to grab a book (any book), turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader and find a sentence or a few (no spoilers) that grabs you and post it. Then go over to Freda’s Voice and leave your link so we can visit your 56!

My 56 for this week is from:

My page 56:

It didn't matter what happened. If Jack got scared away or disgusted by all the royal attitudes or aplomb, then we wouldn't have had a future anyway. Better to find out now, before I fell for him any further.
                         Summary :
I was born the oldest princess of a tiny country in the Alps, which means my future has been planned out for me since I was an infant. I was supposed to marry a rich, arrogant stranger to help restore the royal bank accounts, but I decided to go to college in the States instead. It was the one act of rebellion in my very sheltered life.

That's how I met Jack Watson. He lives next door, and he…

This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.
