Saturday 9: Happy Easter

1) Why do you suppose there are so many songs about Santa Claus, yet very few about the Easter Bunny?

A: More people celebrate Christmas then Easter. Some people don't celebrate Easter like the rest of us and the Easter Bunny was introduced to us in the 1700s. But Santa is more friendly as well. I have seen some scary Easter bunnies this year in costume. Lol

2) This song was written by The Kiboomers, two early education teachers who are passionate about the power of music to help kids learn. Tell us about a teacher who had an impact on your life.

A: My English teacher in highschool. I was always afraid to speak in front of the class when we would do out stories she would always help me out before hand to get over my fear on talking in front of the class. Now it has helped me through my life and I have not gotten afraid of talking to other people or going after what I want in my life.

3) Legend has it that the Easter Bunny was introduced to America in the 1700s by German immigrants. These children waited for a magic creature who left colored eggs. Today's kids dye Easter eggs themselves. When did you most recently color eggs?

A: Today actually. I was coloring a few eggs to have a Easter Egg Hunt for our son. He knows a little bit more about it now and had fun with it last year so I did a fee for tomorrow.

4) The Easter Bunny is usually shown carrying a wicker basket filled with eggs, toys and candy. Is there any wicker in the room you're in right now?

A: No there is not.

5) While marshmallow Peeps are manufactured all year around, they are most popular at Easter. Do you prefer the chicks or the bunnies?

A: Either I like them both.

6) A little time in the microwave can do ugly things to a Peep. Have you ever nuked a Peep?

A: No I have not.

7) Would you prefer a hollow or a solid chocolate bunny?

A: Solid please

8) A traditional American Easter dinner usually includes glazed ham or roast lamb. Which would you rather have as your main course?

A: Lamb if it was cooked the right way.

9) Easter is considered the season of rebirth. What makes you feel refreshed or rejuvenated?

A: A Nap.

  2. I have to agree about a nap. I usually take one right after lunch, one of the perks in being retired.

The Friday 56 + Book Beginnings

The Friday 56 is hosted by  Freda’s Voice .The only rules are to grab a book (any book), turn to page 56 or 56% in your ereader and find any sentence or a few ( no spoilers) that grabs you and post it. This week I am sharing :  56%:  We kiss again and this time I push my tongue in his mouth. Travis refuses to back down. I've never participated in a kissing battle before, but that's how would describe my current situation. Someone coughs behind us and Travis disengages, leaving my lips hovering in mid-air. He catches my look of astonishment before directing his attention to the stage.    Book Beginnings on Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Gilion at Rose  City Reader . Every Friday we share the first sentence (or so) of the book we’re currently reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. I've never broken up with someone. Never had a lasting relationship. But I can't
